Mumbai-based struggling wildlife photographer, Ray Acharya, is informed that his maternal grandfather has passed away, and left some mementos for him. He picks them up, finds out they include an old camera which has the uncanny ability to photograph the future. He uses it to amass wealth at the lotteries and races; and woos struggling singer, Simi Chatterjee, but finds that he has to face enemies who want the camera by hook or by crook. The first one is a ruthless assassin simply known as Captain; the other is Special Officer Puri. And even if Ray manages to survive either of these two - who pursue him all the way to Bangkok

While driving to a party Amit Srivastav (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife Sheela (Moushumi Chatterjee) watch a man getting stabbed. Amit stops to help the man, and even takes him to a nearby hospital. The man is Mr. Verma, a reporter, about to expose an influential and wealthy person. A few days later, Amit starts to receive telephone calls from a man, warning them, and asking them for information Mr. Verma had with him. Amit does not know about this information, and decides to keep it to himself. Strange incidents strange troubling the couple, And then Amit and Sheela's son, Rajoo (Master Bunty) disappears. No one has any clue to where Rajoo is.

A man calls up the Mumbai police, and tells them he has placed five different bombs in the city -- all set to go off in some time. He wants four terrorists in exchange. Does he get them? Who is behind it all? What's his motive? Is there more than meets the eye?
