Loosely based on the Dead Rising 2 game, Shobyo Osen is a spin-off story that takes

place in a world where the zombie outbreak has spread all over the world, including Japan.

Areas with the infected are quarantined from the rest of the world, leaving the uninfected

residents to fend for themselves against the horde of hungry zombies. Two of these people

are brothers George and Shin, who decide to hatch a plan to escape after they find

themselves trapped in a zombie-infested area.

A crooked cop, a mob boss and the young girl they abuse are the denizens of a city's criminal underworld. It's a world that ordinary Arthur Poppington doesn't understand and doesn't belong in, but is committed to fighting when he changes into a vigilante super-hero of his own making, Defendor. With no power other than courage Defendor takes to the streets to protect the city's innocents.

This movie is a great character study that brings you under the skin of the two protagonists. One might have some criticism for the depth or quality of the dialogue, but dialogue is not what this film is about. It is about the emotions and the dreams, the tustles that the protagonists face within their inner selves and with those around them. These are transposed through the visuals rather than the dialogue. While the pace may be slow for some viewers, the crescendo and the climax are perfectly dosed creating a sublimely atmospheric piece of art-house cinema. I strongly recommend this movie to all lovers of true cinema

When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora.
